Fill Your Home With The Delicious Scent (And Flavor!) Of Our Slow Cooker Caramel Apple Cider

Apple cider is a fairly distinct drink for the fall season, when apples are being picked and cinnamon is being used in everything. Whether you prefer to consume the beverage in its hot or cold forms, there’s always something refreshing and familiar about the spice infused drink. This slow cooker apple cider is no different. Ingredients

  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 orange
  • 1 golden delicious apple
  • 2 Fuji apples
  • 8 cups of water
  • ½ tbsp ground nutmeg
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • ½ tsp allspice

Directions

  1. Cut all of the apples into quarters, leaving the skin and stem in tact. In a crock pot, add in all of the apples and the entire, whole orange, as well as 8 cups of water.
  2. Add the nutmeg, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, and allspice into the pot and stir until evenly mixed. Cook the entire thing on high for 3 to 4 hours, then the apple cider is ready to serve!
  3. If you prefer cold cider, place it in the fridge too cool for a few hours and give it a stir before serving.
