If you’ve ever had green beer on St. Patrick’s Day, you know how fun it is to add a little color to your food.
This Rainbow Grilled Cheese takes that to the next level, with 4 different colors all in one delicious sandwich!
What You’ll Need:
- ⅓ cup mozzarella, shredded
- ⅓ cup gruyere, shredded
- ⅓ cup swiss, shredded
- Green food coloring
- Red food coloring
- Blue food coloring
- Yellow food coloring
- 4 slices brioche bread
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 tbsp. sprinkles
- First, mix together the mozzarella, gruyere, and swiss cheese in a bowl. Divide this mixture between 4 bowls and tint each bowl with a different food coloring.
- Next, slice the brioche and heat up a griddle or skillet to medium-high heat. Spread butter on the outside of the bread and place 2 pieces butter-side down on the griddle. Top with cheese and then cover with the other slice of bread, butter-side up. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese has started to melt and the bread is toasted.
- Flip the sandwich and then grill for another 2 minutes. Remove the sandwich from the grill and top with a little bit more butter. Cover with sprinkles.
